History
Aristowear was founded by Late Nimai Charan Sahu in 1972. Originally from Cuttack, he took the courage to open the tailoring unit in Bhubaneswar with much struggle. He started with just 2 sewing machines like every tailor’s dream to be an entrepreneur. With his continuous dedication and willingness to do things differently, he bought the first button hole machine and Button fixing machine to Odisha in 1975 which was a big success. Aristowear got famous and soon a sister concern was established (Intimate) in 1976 for Ladies tailoring.
The show must go on! In 1990, the entire shop burnt down due to an electric short circuit and it had been restarted from scratch. All customers were compensated for their damage even though there was no insurance cover; this gesture added greatly towards loyalty as well because many valuable clients denied taking any kind of compensation supporting in bad times – which only proves how much these people care about us when we need them most (even without knowing).
Bijayanta Kumar Sahu, the son of the founder of Aristowear, continued his father’s legacy of investing in automation and technology while continuing his Bachelor of Engineering (in Computer Science from Orissa Engineering College). He introduced the first Fusing Machine, Berteking Machine, Chain Stitch Machine and Ilate button hole machine to the tailoring industry within Odisha. In the early 21st century, manual machines were converted to automated machines, which helped produce faster and better quality stitches, ensuring better customer satisfaction along with more efficient employees. With changes in fashion trends over time, Aristowear has kept pace with changing technology.

Having grown up in the computer science field, he always had an eye to automate the time consuming administration and payroll work. He ensured he had a software which would help him reduce manual work and focus on customer satisfaction and strategy growth of the organization. Currently, the organization works on an fully automated Indigenously developed application Software which maintains the Customer, Employee and the Order request database and supports timely delivery to the customer and salary payment to the Employees.

In an era where attrition levels amongst semi skilled & skilled craftsmen are high, it’s able to retain many employees who have served them for over 20 years; some even more! The employees are retrained periodically about the changes of the fashion world. This ensures the standards are maintained timely payment of Salary to the penny has been ensured with the automated application without any hassle now. Employees are provided with Interest free Loans, salary Advances and also registered with ESI and PF Organization. They are also supported personally during times of emergencies. On the occasion of 50 years of completion of the organization, the loyal employees were awarded with Gold Coins and valuable Gifts.

In the Second decade of 21st century on demand of Customers and as a part of Strategic growth, Bijayanta took the franchisee of Grasim, the first in Odisha, and started selling cloth line ( Suitings, Shirtings.etc) in 2009. This was nicely welcomed by the esteemed customers and supported. This helped the Bhubaneswar Grasim Franchisee to remain in the Top Position nationally since inception.
